Regrettably, my recent interaction with the optical technician, Marilyn, at Sam's Club in Castle Rock left me deeply disappointed and questioning why I am a member. Marilyn's demeanor during our encounter was not only blatantly rude but also unprofessional. It is disheartening to witness such behavior, particularly from someone in a customer-facing role where interpersonal skills should be prioritized. Marilyn's approach to customer service was marked by rudeness and disrespect, which is unacceptable in any professional setting. What stood out the most was her audibly disrespectful laughter directed at customers seeking assistance. Such behavior raises concerns about the standard of professionalism upheld by Sam's Club in their hiring and training processes. When I brought this issue to the attention of the on-duty managers, the response I received was less than satisfactory. Despite expressing my concerns, their attempts at resolution felt insincere and were filled with empty platitudes. It is disheartening to feel that feedback may not lead to any tangible changes in Marilyn's conduct or the overall customer service culture and experience. One cannot help but question why a person with such a demeanor is allowed to represent Sam's Club, especially given the premium customers pay for a membership. The incongruity between the expectation of a positive shopping experience and the reality of encountering unprofessional behavior is a cause for serious reconsideration. As a Sam's Club member, I am now contemplating the possibility of requesting a refund for my membership and washing my hands of them. The idea that customers are subjected to such treatment while contributing to the success of the store is deeply unsettling. I hope that Sam's Club takes customer feedback seriously and endeavors to maintain the high standards of service that members expect. Alternatives like Costco are looking more promising, the potential of a shopping environment where basic human dignity and respect are integral to the customer experience. I genuinely hope that Sam's Club takes steps to address these concerns promptly and ensures that every customer is treated with the respect they deserve.

The entire shipping and receiving crew is great. I go about once a month to pick up 20 pallets of bottled water for a private company and they all have been very friendly and efficient. (And happy to get those 20 pallets out of their way). They also load a flatbed perfectly. Manager, please pass on my appreciation and I will see you all next month.

Geo is literally a knight in shining armor! My tire went flat on the way from Colorado Springs to Denver. I pulled off and tried to change my tire on my own, but my wrench didn't fit my lug nuts! I decided to walk to Sam's auto department and ask for a tire iron, but instead Geo offered to come down and change the tire for me. I even offered him a tip for helping, but he refused. Thanks to him I made it to Denver safe and on time.

I love going into any Sam's for my grocery needs and the kind workers here exceeded my expectations. I had an excellent customer service experience at the Cafe today around 4pm. Thanks to those two guys behind the counter!

One of the only upsides about this sam's is how dead it is. It seems they have 4 employees running the whole store and it shows. Their options for products pales in comparison to Costco. Checking out is a nightmare with nobody running the self checkout and when it comes time to pay good luck with their card readers actually working. their cafe is the worst part. Always 1 person running it and they are out of literally everything by the time you're even able to get up to order. Their own brand liquor options are fairly solid but wildly inconsistent with what's in stock. Store is clean and they do have good snack options but not much else. Unfortunately this is the only bulk store local to castle rock but if you don't mind the drive I would definitely suggest saving your money for costco.

we’ve been shopping here for more than 2 years since we moved to Castle Rock with our young children. Not only is the checkout process a nightmare ( the system never recognizes gift cards but will accept any other form of payment no problem ) but this location regularly stocks and attempts to sell expired and moldy food throughout the store for their customers to purchase and get sick from? The robot that cleans the store ( since they don’t have staff apparently ) had a hefty stack of straight up rotten food piled on up it .. left by yours truly! Why would I continue to spend money on a membership where I have to check myself out each time and be treated like a thief every time we walk out the door? I’m all set on a membership renewal 👌🏻

The pharmacist that gave me a flu shot today was so kind and patient. I came in w my 19 month old daughter and he just went above and beyond w getting us a free froyo coupon for us! Super kind gentleman

Hire some employees to ring up groceries. I am constantly having to ring up a full cart of groceries at glitchy self check kiosks designed for people only grabbing a few things. Last time an employee had to come over and bend everyone's cards upwards to get the machine to read them. If you want me to ring up my groceries do you also want me to come in the morning and unload the trucks? Can I mop for you while I shop? Don't get me started on the loud volume of the robot floor cleaner machine. I hate it here, I am sticking with Costco. I have never been forced to ring up my own groceries on a problematic machine with no counter space and I've never been blasted by a shrieking beep while I shop at Costco. The prices are high and the produce is a mess of tipping stacks if moldy berries. Home decor prices are laughable. But the reason I'm jumping ship is lack of putting employees on the registers where they are needed. Don't lie and say labor shortage. If you spent your billions of profits on keeping employees you would have plenty. If you want the customers to do the work for you, discount them.
